Harbor City
Harbor City is one of the large shopping malls in Tsim Sha Tsui, a city in Hong Kong. It has four sections: the Marco Polo Hong Kong Hotel, Ocean Center, Ocean Terminal and the Gateway. Harbor City is quite popular among locals and tourists, because of many different reasons. Firstly, it’s located in a conveniently accessible place, in a famous shopping district in Hong Kong and amidst other tourist attractions. Over 60,000 people traveling back and forth between the office blocks and the shopping mall, as well as the regular exhibitions and performances are other reasons for Harbor City’s popularity.
Like all big malls worldwide, Harbor City features plenty of designer boutiques, such as Salvatore Ferragamo, Yves St Laurent, Versace, Louis Vuitton, Polo Ralph Lauren, Hugo Boss, Prada and Burberry. This central mall is located upon Hong Kong’s original colonial era wharf and dock warehouse.
As mentioned earlier, Harbor City has been compartmentalized into four sections. The Zone OT, also known as the Ocean Terminal is where you’ll find all the big names in fashion and design. The three levels available on Zone OT include the KidX on ground level, SportX & Faces (level 1) and LCX retailer collection (level 2). Each of these specialize in selling exactly what the name suggests, so KidX is all about children’s wear and accessories, SportX & Faces offers sportswear and cosmetics, and LCX concentrates on providing a multitude of clothes, accessories and shoes for the young and trendy shopper.
Zone HH, the Marco Polo Hong Kong Hotel Arcade area, offers high-end ladies’ and gents’ fashion, as well as modern home furniture at Lane Crawford. More fashionable home decorating items are found at the G.O.D. The Grand Ocean cinema is also located in this section.
The Ocean Center (Zone OC) offers a mixture of designer fashion, audio-visual equipment, jewelry and branded retail watch outlets. Several international restaurants and the Golden Gateway Multiplex (four mini cinemas) are also available in Zone OC.
When you visit Harbor City, you are within the vicinity of Kowloon, so it’s only logical to reserve a room at the closest Kowloon hotel for you to relax at the end of the day. After all, shopping at Harbor City can easily take you several days.
